We hold a number of indoor meetings from September to March, with a range of topics that involve both mammals and other wildlife. We also run courses throughout the year, mainly at Wildwood Trust, Herne Common. Some of the activities have limited places so please check the activity detail for more information. 

Owl pellet workshop

In this hands-on course, you’ll practice dissecting owl pellets to uncover and identify skeletal remains of small mammals.Find out more about small mammal skeletal anatomy and reveal ecosystem composition courtesy of owl pellet biology.

Your findings could also contribute to two important national projects led by the Mammal Society: the National Harvest Mouse Survey and the ‘Searching for Shrews’ project.
